GUYYYYS YOU GUYS HOLY SHIT I JUST FINISHED TSUBASA AND HAVE CAUGHT UP ON XXXHOLIC. I haven't read mangoes in ages, and now all of a sudden I'm reading this, nostalgia-ing over Shaman King and Whistle!, catching up on One Piece... feels good man.

BUT ANYWAY.

I was pretty disappoint at the last chapter, but the epilogue was really cute, and makes me wonder if they're going to do a sequel? lmao I... don't really have anything new to say that someone else hasn't said already, but... yeah! I bawled my way through the last twenty or so chapters, holy shit. Clamp, y ur canon pairings da best. :|

The plot was... idek. It all made sense in the end, I thought, even if it was a little... unnecessarily convoluted? The only real issue I had was with the lack of closure on a lot of fronts, like the Seishirou/Subaru/Kamui/Fuuma subplot, and Fei Wong Reed's general motivation and backstory. I'm guessing the latter will be explained in xxxHolic, though. I also would love some elaboration on Yuuko and Clow's relationship ;3;

And also, closure-wise, Sakura and Syaoran need to have a thousand babbies right the fuck now and Kuro and Fai need to be their uncles and they need to have wacky adventures. I will not be satisfied until this happens.

Ohhh my god. Oh. My God. Oh my god. Yooouuuu guys it just got so fucking good I can't even. I actually fucking love washed-up-drunk!Watanuki. I mean, there's a pretty big gap between 185 and 186, so we don't get to see how his character develops, but it makes perfect sense to me--that kind of grief definitely changes a person, especially someone with such a tenuous grasp on his identity as Watanuki. He misses Yuuko so much he pretty much... becomes her, because he is a fucking creeper, and Doumeki, being Doumeki, was probably just sort of like "well, he just lost the person he cares most about, so... I guess he's insane now. Whatever, new drinking buddy." Doumeki would never say anything or tell him to snap out of it (outside of punching him in the throat, Kuro-style), just because that's not really how their relationship works.

Speaking of Doumeki and Watanuki's relationship, fllbdjiujiojrwgadld. They're pretty much married. ;3; And like... Doumeki clearly realizes how fucked up Watanuki is now, but he sorta... I wouldn't say ignores it, per se, but realizes that it's something that a) he can't fix and b) that Watanuki needs to work through on his own, so he just... provides him with companionship. And dick. Especially dick. Ughhh brb writing fic forever and ever!

Also, where the fuck is Himawari at! She's my bb. ffffuuuuu I always hate when I get caught up on manga and have to wait for chapters one at a time. :[

In less nerdy news, Halloween weekend was the best weekend, as I have already mentioned. On Saturday we went to a club and then crashed at Gabe's and played with his roommate's precious babby kittenface. Then I slept basically all Sunday, it was pretty great.

Ohh my god having the best extended Halloween weekend of my entire life! Sarah and I started marathoning Saw last night and baked pumpkin seeds, and today we went and got a costume for me (a Victorian ghost girl with a creepy doll--pretty much a RORITA RACE MONSTER--also I got stuck in a dress at Value Village, that was pretty cool) and ate much lots good food. Also, we were walking by the super old independent theatre on her street and noticed they were playing the Rocky Horror Picture Show, so we went to that in costume and ohhh my godddd it was the best ever. If you ever have the opportunity to go to an audience participation RHPS, holy shit do it.

Tomorrow is Pumpken Carvann, more Saw hopefully, clubbing and a house party at Herr Gabriel's, and then Sunday is Saw VI provided I still have money which I will not at all!

The most important thing anyone ever needs to know is that according to Felipe, Sarah and I sound like two elderly pterodactyls.

So yeah, last night I got to watch drunk jocks play beer pong and get hit on by a cute guy who looked like a combination of Uncle Jesse and Dean Winchester with a lip piercing (who was too bombed for me to actually understand anything he was saying), it was pretty great. Also, mixing coke, Baileys, spiced rum and Jack Daniel's isn't actually as disgusting as it sounds!

fml, this week will be dedicated to job-hunting. I haven't really stepped up to the plate on that as much as I should've, and I really, really don't want to borrow money off of my parents 'cause they're in a bit of a tight spot financially. I really want to go ziplining with Sarah and Felipe (and maybe my dad, haha) on the 18th, and I might have enough funds left over for that, but I really don't know if it would be wise to spend it on something frivolous like that. (god I am seriously ridiculous, all I can think about regarding "if/when I get a job..." is that I want to: go to Canada's Wonderland/Darien Lake, get qrunq, and go to the beach and buy ice cream every day.)

Iiiidk I'll have to see how well the job-hunt goes. (or kittyling and I can get lecheporfavor to pay us to dress up like Mitsuru and Yukari and bang her?)

That being said, we are definitely going clubbing and then having a Disney marathon next Friday. I am excite.

Sooo Jenna's Batcave party was actually on Thursday (basically she covered her kitchen in garbage bags and the bat symbol and we put on glowsticks and got our drank on) so last night was Pants-Shitting Horror Fest 2009. Sarah and I watched the Hills Have Eyes, Saw and Hostel ~~and watched the drill death scenes from SH5 like actually twenty times oh my god we are such creeps~~.

PSPSPS koolsnowball PLEASE COME OVER WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK BECAUSE I RENTED SILENT HILL 5. BRING MULTIPLE PAIRS OF PANTS IN CASE OF POTENTIAL JIZZING. You guuuys who else on my flist has played and enjoyed SH5, I need to scream about it. And I need to scream about UC Gundam with lecheporfavor.

Adachi, Friend to Women
OH MAN I was actually going to make a super long tl;dr post on my thoughts regarding Adachi and why I love him but I never did, so I will post a condensed version here. Basically Adachi is a completely disgusting, reprehensible cretin and I think that he's 100% responsible for all of his actions; I don't think he's ultimately a good person and Izanami just corrupted him, she picked him specifically because he was the ultimate example of the dregs of humanity. He's got total control issues and he's totally just... one of those guys who is supremely awkward around women so he develops misogyny as a kind of shield to neatly explain away why women hate him. Because it's not his fault, it's their fault, because they're bitches and whores. I guess I sort of see him as this kind of ultimately unremarkable, average, boring guy who's kinda flabby and is exceptionally bad relating to other people which fills him with rage and he just keeps on internalizing it and internalizing it until he gets his Persona powers which makes him feel special, and so his little inferiority complex turns into a power trip, because Adachi needs to feel special even though he's just an unremarkable, talentless member of the faceless masses. IIIDK THAT'S WHY I LOVE ADACHI. ♥ He is one of the best villains of all time, I think, because he is so extremely believable in that Ted Bundy-ish sort of way. He doesn't have crazy magical juju heroin powers like Takaya, he's not a robotic simulacrum of a famous Russian dead guy, he's just a normal guy with a scary, fucked-up worldview.

Fun and all, but I am actually going back to black tomorrow or Wednesday! (maybe with a pink streak) I love having wacky animu hair, but it's way too hard to upkeep and I'm the poorest motherfucker on Sesame Street.

Writing
For a lot of people writing is purely a fandom thing, but... writing is. Y'know. It's maudlin to say, but it's my passion. It's my thing. Obviously I love writing fanfic and unfortunately do that a lot more often than I write original stuff, but I mean, a writer would be my ideal career. QUESTION THAT NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO ANSWER

Uh, okay, without spoiling me or anything, what's the major difference between the DSRK2 endings? I mean, unless it's impossible to tell me without spoiling me. Has anyone on my flist even beaten this game? If so, which ending was the best in your opinion? I have a feeling I'm going for the law ending at the moment, but I don't want to end up with a lame one. :C No actually I think I'd rather be chaos, buuut right now I'm neutral so it doesn't matter anyway. EITHER WAY, OPINIONS, FLIST-KUN.

SO. DAT RAIDOU. DIS GAME. I thought I wanted to be law at first, but man chaos is so much better of an option. FIGHT THE ESTABLISHMENT UP WITH PEOPLE and I mean, I am definitely going for the "see how much of a dick you can possibly be" ending in Nocturne, so. Although actually, from what I can tell so far the law alignment seems to be more dickish. Idk whatever, transvestite prostitutes.

And speaking of Nocturne, ahaha oh my god I actually don't remember where I am in the slightest. I know I haven't beaten Red Rider yet and I... think I am still in Asakusa. Y'know, the part where you get your bone on with Futomimi. That happens.

BUT YEAH ANYWAY I think the point of me saying this was that now that DSRK has a visible fandom (and I am... paying more attention to the Nocturne fandom idk) it's really interesting to me to see the ways that Raidou and Hitoshura are portrayed. I mean, with the exception of P2, all the MegaTen silent protagonists don't really have established personalities--or rather, in the case of Serph and Raidou and Hitoshura (and the older games that no one has played) you're only given small insights into what their personalities could potentially be like, though in some cases you can choose in a more kinda... outright manner like with Souji and Minato.

I tend to think of Hitoshura as being sort of... y'know, a huge dick? But I've also seen him portrayed, less commonly, as a scion of justice and all that shit, and it's an interesting take, because obviously it's not like he actually has some kind of concrete personality, so I don't really know exactly what it is that makes me think of him that way. And in the case of Raidou I... think of him as sort of the opposite of Hitoshura, concerned with ~*~*doing the right thing*~*~ and ~*~*being sexually awkward*~*~. I tend to think of it as like... WHERE ARE RAIDOU'S PARENTS YOU GUYS. He probably grew up around demons and talking cats and crotchety old men so I kinda doubt he's exactly well-versed in the arena of human interaction.

IIIIIDK TL;DR MY BUTT what is your opinion on this, flist-kun? I am genuinely interested in what kind of personalities other people think Raidou and Hitoshura (and Minato and Souji, for that matter) have.

Yeah, those were some words. In conclusion, I am going back to my Yukikikiko hair, as showcased by this charming picture (I was the drunkest drunk) only shorter and with actual Yukikikiko bangs. And I'll probably put a pink streak in, idk, dyke solidarity motherfuckers. Fuuuck I miss having long hair SO BAD but I hated it when it was long. :C

Iiii cannot even. Devil Summoner 2. You guys. People kept telling me how completely gay it is and I was like "well it can't be gayer than P2 or P4" and then it REALLY REALLY WAS

I swear to god, it is not even a game anymore, it's just Atlus trolling their fanbase. I am totally okay with this. My favourite part was how Tae was like "welp it's like 1932 or so and Narumi is boning an underage dude half his age, I SUPPORT THIS PLEASE DON'T LET ME GET IN THE WAY OF YOUR CANOODLING"

Also, I seriously have not been writing at all. I was researching the Taisho era for a Narumi/Raidou fic (fml I nearly typed Raiden there ALSO YES HI I AM A HUGE FAG DS isn't really all that historically accurate anyway, but all the kids lookin' up to me can suck my dick) and then I got distracted by reading about Japanese prostitutes.

I'm going to delude myself with the comfortable notion that I am going to go home and either write or paint (which I actually did do last, only like a five year old) or continue my IS log, but in reality I am going to play DS2.

➪ I finally got to play Devil Summoner 2 the other day. It... it is a video game! I really honestly think Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Transvestites would be a much more accurate title tbh. Sarah and I were like "we should make a drinking game out of this: take a shot every time some kind of vaguely gay comment is made. Yeah we'd have alcohol poisoning in five minutes." We also named Raidou Eugene Weenus?! because we are five years old.

➪ Speaking of which, we also decided a Tales of Vesperia drinking game wherein one takes a shot every time Raven mentions what an ~*OLD MAN*~ he is (because anyone over the age of 30 immediately becomes some kind of living archaeological find apparently), because he seriously does not go five minutes without mentioning it. We were screaming forever.

➪ We also watched the Anime North video. Drunken Sarah dressed as Fuuka reading excerpts from the Bible and doing impressions of Silent Hill monsters is the best thing I have ever seen.

➪ RE: MOST OF MEGATEN FANDOM: SON, I AM DISAPPOINT. jasfaioais I don't even know why I'm talking about this, but honestly, why is half of MegaTen fandom (or at the very least, P4 fandom) like 12 years old? It is impossible to go through any part of LJ fandom without seeing "I hate Rise or Yukari or Chie or Yukiko or Mother Harlot or ablabkalkba", which... The Go people found my wallet, though I have no idea if it's still got my cash in it, aaaand I can't go get it (yes, I have to go all the way back to Toronto to get it) until they process it so that might take until Wednesday. Whooop. I... am not in a good place with my parents right now for several reasons, this being one of them, and I don't even want to get into it!

SERIOUSLY THOUGH it was actually the best Anime North so far. Mostly we played with Budew, drank in our hotel room and were white people always, but aaa excellent times. ♥

So. It has been many moons. Let me tell you about my fascinating life!

➀ The Princess and the Frog. Holy shit, this movie. A summary of me while watching this trailer would basically be "oh my god oh my god SOB SOB SOB SNURFLE HURFLE DURF BOO HOO OH MY GOD". I don't even think I can explain how excited I am for this movie.

➁ Yukari is very nearly done! Just have to add the details to her socks, hammer in the snaps for her collar, and sew the back panel of her skirt. I'll do that tonight, if I've got the energy. Anime North is iiiin like 11 days so I have no idea if I'll be able to get Chie and Yukiko done, but at least our Yukari, Fuuka, Junpei and Mitsuru will be complete! ♥ also Jay is the gayest straight guy I know, and is therefore perfect to be Junpei. I am so happy.

➂ My aunt moved in with us a few weeks ago, and my cousin moved in with my other aunt who lives a few blocks away. There are a couple downsides to it, but overall it's pretty great, and we've been having my other aunt and cousin over a lot for family dinners. It was pretty strained when she lived with us last time, but my cousin was here too and there wasn't really room for all of us to live comfortably.

➃ lmao Sarah and I... have been watching ~~Poopernatural~~ Supernatural... and... we are just the worst humans. We have also been playing a lot of RE5 and FE10. We're pretty cool guys.

➄ I really need to start writing again. I've been drawing a bit lately, poorly, but I haven't written in ages.
